Data Sources & Transparency

School profiles are built from official Welsh Government open data including the school directory, establishment characteristics, and Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation (WIMD) data. Inspection information relates to Estyn, the education and training inspectorate for Wales. Estyn abolished inspection grades in September 2024 — schools are now assessed through narrative reports and a binary “in follow-up” status.
